Installation Process of PVC




PVC has revolutionised modern day plumbing and replaces galvanised pipe and cast iron in almost all plumbing situations today. Use the following steps as a guide on how to install PVC pipes.
Step One: Cut the pipe as you need it. Since it is easy to cut, you will only need a hacksaw. However, you have to guarantee the cut PVC pipe is not skewed because it will affect the entire run of piping.
Step Two: After cutting the PVC pipe, lay it on the floor and ensure it fits where you want it before continuing the installation.
Step Three: The pipe has to be cleaned with primer by swabbing it around the inside of the fitting and the end of the pipe. This is to guarantee that no contaminants will affect adhesion. PVC is connected with a special type of cement which sets very quickly so it is important to be prepared to apply the pipe immediately.
